  What is your status (as of today) as a Jehovah's Witness?

  active believer...still attend meetings, go out in field service, believe it's ''the truth''.

  active non-believer... go to meetings and field service to please family... living a double life .

  inactive believer...don't attend meetings but believe it's the truth, one day might go back to kingdom hall.

  i'm way beyond #4

  i come on here to get the goss and have a laugh at the cult. I too would like to see it fade into oblivion in my lifetime.

  i still live in hope my family will see the error of their ways..who knows?

  Awake Magazine - No Longer Being Printed?

  $15.00 minimum wage

  while we are talking about economic stimulus i thought i’d bring up the $15 minimum wage.

  pros and cons?.

  in the UK the minimum for 2021 is £8.91 an hour.

  so--a couple both working full time would earn over £600 a week, which is a lot better than unemployment benefit.

  i woke up early in life.

  it’s not because i was smarter than my brothers and sisters.

  in fact, reflecting back, i actually don’t know why i didn’t embrace the watchtower teachings?

  as a young teenager i just accepted it as the truth--because we were in it!--therefore it must be right. baptised at 14, left school at 15 , pioneer at 16. Not through parental pressure--far from it: dad although baptised , wanted me to go to uni. Instead i listened to that jerk Ron Drage spouting forth at an assembly and i went with the young dub crowd.

  only when i was 23, married--wife expecting--did i really give it all a lot of thought and reasoning--and the whole house of cards collapsed. i was done.

  a private place should be designated for use outside the camp, and there is where you should go.
